The Incredible Benefits Of Apple Cider Vinegar

Share:

Apple cider vinegar was one of the flagship products of the famous Hippocrates pharmacy. And it must be said that this elixir of youth conceals many benefits which it would be wrong to deny it.

Long-term weight loss

The result of the fermentation of apple cider, it has slimming properties. This is obviously not a miracle solution, but rather a slight boost. A Japanese research team, which looked at the issue in 2009, conducted the experiment on several adults with obesity.

While one group ingested two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar daily for 12 weeks, the second sample of patients had to settle for a placebo drink. The result of the races: the people of the first group show a loss of weight of 2 to 4 kilos, as, for the others, they continued to stand still.

And they aren't the only people to have studied the subject. Other research also suggests that consuming small doses of apple cider vinegar before eating will raise blood sugar levels and reduce the body's glycemic response by 20-40%. In short, we feel immediately less hungry...

A plus in case of diabetes

By thus regulating the blood sugar level, apple cider vinegar can be a real plus when you are diabetic. According to the results of an American study published in the journal "Diabetes Care", its regular consumption would have a definite impact on people with diabetes.

In this experiment, prediabetic subjects and other types 2 patients drank a solution of apple cider vinegar before their meal. After the fact, their blood glucose levels increased much less than normal, with 34% improvement in prediabetics and 19% in type 2 diabetics. But beware, this doesn't replace the need for medical treatment.

Note: the formula given to these patients contained 25 milliliters of apple cider vinegar, 40 milliliters of water and a teaspoon of saccharin.

Better digestion

According to Dr. David S. Ludwig, professor of nutrition at the prestigious Harvard University, consuming apple cider vinegar would also have beneficial effects on digestion. Asked by the New York Times, he explains:

"The main problem of our modern diets is that the carbohydrates we eat are absorbed too quickly, so our insulin and glucose make a monumental boost in the body, to fall back just a few hours later".

In short, the less fiber you eat, the more you eat greasy foods and the more difficult digestion is for the stomach, which has to work hard. Not to mention the feeling of satiety immediately volatilized, which gives us quickly nibbling nibble.

To slow down this process, Dr. Carol Johnson, Assistant Director of the University of Arizona Nutrition Program, details the fascinating biological capabilities of apple cider vinegar: "Vinegar absorbs starches and releases some in the form of fiber."

Cure cold shots

Apple cider vinegar is an excellent antiseptic. At the slightest cold snap of the cold or sore throat type, we can concoct a homemade formula: pour 4 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar into a large glass of hot water and make gargles with 4 times a day, until symptoms disappear.

If it's a more advanced case like a big flu for example, then try this other home remedy instead. Mix 2 tablespoons of honey and 80 milliliters of apple cider vinegar and drink one tablespoon every 4 hours or so, until the symptoms disappear.

Relieve muscle pain

Whether it's muscle aches, muscle contractions or rheumatism, apple cider vinegar can help relieve pressure. The most enjoyable technique is still to plunge into a hot bath and pour two large glasses of apple cider vinegar. For more efficiency, we add a handful of bath salts.

Soothe sunburn

To relieve the pain, simply dilute a little vinegar in a bowl of water and soak its cotton with, before gently passing on the sunburn.

Caution of use

If it's proven that apple cider vinegar can be excellent for health, its consumption should remain moderate. To avoid overdose, doctors recommend that you simply dilute a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a large glass of water once a day and drink it while eating a meal. In case of excess, you risk damaging the esophagus and stomach.
